Dear God, PLEASE let it be Andrew Garcia! Seriously though, the Idol Top 12 took on the songs of The Rolling Stones last night and it was surprisingly tolerable. I've never been a big "Stones" fan but, overall the show wasn't bad. Garcia was horrible as usual. Winner of the night, Siobhan Magnus...girl was THE standout once again. In other IDOL news, there's an online petition (which I signed by the way) to bring Alex Lambert back. The fact that Lambert, who hadn't had one bad performance, was cut in favor of Garcia is LUDICROUS! Garcia has only had one good performance, and that was BUTCHERING "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul. Go and sign the petition to BRING ALEX LAMBERT BACK! And, watch Idol tonight to see Andrew Garcia cry those big tears when his ass GETS SENT HOME...

American Idol 2010

Boy do I have a lot to talk about here. I'm becoming really dissatisfied with American Idol. First of all, they got rid of Paula (or, she decided not to renew her contract), whatever happened, she's not there anymore. AND I MISS HER! Now, Simon is leaving at the end of the season. WTF??? And, he's starting X-Factor in America: FAIL...IDOL might as well go off the air without Simon. The only redeeming factor this season has going for it is the addition of Ellen DeGeneres on the judging panel. I know, she has no real background in music. But, I think she kind of speaks for the general viewing public. She knows what she likes, and she knows what she doesn't like. She's not always right (like I am, go back and view my previous Idol posts) but, she's good comic relief since Paula has flew the coop.

Now on to the contestants. Bless their hearts. The only one that I can possibly see being anything resembling a superstar (which IDOL is supposed to produce) is Casey James. So, my prediction is that he will win this year. American done booted off two of the other good ones, Alex Lambert and Lilly Scott. I'm with Lilly "I don't know what America wants to hear." And GOD SAVE ME from Andrew Garcia!!! If I hear him butcher one more vapid '80's or '90's pop song that was ORIGINALLY DONE BY A FEMALE, I'm going to have someone rip both of my eardrums out. HOW THE HELL did he stay when Alex Lambert and Lilly Scott got sent home??? Seriously America, seriously...

Was it Fixed?

It's being reported that the Idol votes may have been exaggerated for winner Kris Allen. Apparently AT&T representatives went to "viewing parties" with demo phones, and showed fans in Arkansas how to "power text" for Allen. The power texts would in effect be 10 votes for every text vote sent. Idol has released a statement saying the in no way was the voting affected by these "viewing parties." Whatever happened, the margin was reportedly so large that it wouldn't have helped Adam Lambert anyhow.

So American Idol is Over For Another Year...

And, surprise of surprises, Kris Allen beat Adam Lambert (the guy who should have won) for the American Idol trophy. But, in thinking about it, maybe the runner-up is actually the winner. After all the don't have to record that God-Awful song that the winner is forced to sing. They're not contractually obligated to the American Idol franchise so they're free to do what they want. So why did Kris, who is an unbelievably talented singer in his own right, beat Adam Lambert considered by basically everyone to be a no brainer for the win? The obvious answer is, he got more votes. But I have a lot of theories, and I'll post them when I feel better. Right now, I feel like crap. So, in the interim, congratulations Kris and good luck Adam! I think we'll be hearing a lot from both of you!

Who's it Gonna Be??

In case you live on some other planet, the American Idol Results Show Finale is tonight. And, to state again, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are the final two, as I said would happen for 3 months. For me, it's a win-win situation; I like them both and will be satisfied with either one of them as winner. But, I guess I'm kinda pulling a little bit for Adam. Watch the show tonight at 8pm on Fox!

American Idol. Why does anyone ever doubt me? I'll be fine with either one of them winning but I still say Adam is going to to take it all. The Finale is next week, can't wait!!!

Update: Look at the suprise on Kris' face when he heard he was in the finale. I don't know why he's suprised, I've been saying he was gonna be there for months now! God, it's great being right all the time!

American Idol: Final Three

Tonight the Final Three will take the stage on American Idol, singing two songs each. They will perform a song of their own choosing and, one that the judges pick for them. I think it's Danny's time to go back to wherever he's from. I'm still calling an Adam and Kris final with Adam taking the trophy.

Allison Goes Home

17-year-old Allison Iraheta, the youngest remaining contestant and the only female left in the race, was left out. Iraheta got the lowest number of votes which bought her a plane ticket home last night. It should have been Danny "karaoke hokey" Gokey but alas, we get to watch him scream again next week. So, your Top 3 is Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, and Danny Gokey. I'm still callin a Final with Adam Lambert (and have been since they picked the Top 13).

American Idol: Rock Night

So they rocked on American Idol last night, well some of them did. Adam, of course was PHENOMENAL again but, as for the rest; they were just mediocre. I'm making my predictions. It's either Allison or Danny going home tonight. I hope it's Danny, I'm sick of him. I like Allison and I'll be PISSED OFF if it's Kris. I'm still calling a Adam and Kris final. We shall see tonight.

Pack Your Hats and Head Home

Matt Giraud got the golden ticket back to Kalamazoo last night on American Idol. He was in the bottom 3 with Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. How the hell did that happen? Next week is Rock week on Idol, thank God we won't have to hear Matt take on Ozzy.

American Idol: Top Five

Last night the Top 5 took the stage to sing the standards of the "Rat Pack." Why the hell Jamie Foxx was the mentor, I'll never know. But, on to what I think and who I think should get on a plane back to wherever they came from, starting with Matt Girad. How the hell is he still on this show? For starters, he looked like a homeless person last night, not Justin Timberlake (like he wants to be). Secondly, I'm tired of his nasally singing and his terrible falsetto. Get over yourself man. Seriously dude, you're going home tonight.

But, I'm a little afraid that Allison Iraheta may wind up going home. She's been in the bottom 3 several times when she did not deserve to be. And, while she's not one of my favorites, she still needs to stay longer than Matt. I'm still going with my pics of Adam and Kris in the finals!

As was expected, Annop Desai and Lil Rounds went home last night on AI. Matt Giraud miracuously kept his Justin Timberlake wannabe butt out of the bottom 3 last night, so he's safe for another week.

American Idol: Disco Night

Despite it's being Disco Night, the show was actually fairly tolerable. The clear winners of the night were Adam Lambert and Kris Allen (per usual). Losers; time for Matt Giraud, Lil Rounds, and Annop Desai to get their bags packed. If I were a gambling man, and I am, I would say Matt and Lil are heading to the house. It's about time for two of them, one I wish would stick around a little longer.
